Video Games

In the last decade, video games have improved a lot, graphics, sound effects and the variety of games has not become a big issue. Nowadays, most video games are played through the online system. Whereby, each player has a gamer tag that he can sign in and enjoy multi player gaming, download music and more interesting stuff. In my opinion, I think there are a lot of advantages and disadvantages. One of the advantages in video games is that lots of teenagers would rather to go out and enjoy their weekend either at the movies or the arcade place. However, this new technology can save a lot of money and time with one click away. Moreover, there is a big disadvantage that I see in online gaming where games sometimes can be addicted and you find some people cant even leave the controller and stop playing.

Animal Intelligence

Today I felt that my presentation went well. I was happy with the listening of my classmates to my ideas. I thought that they were interested in what I was saying and this made me feel quite good.

IT IS NOT A STORY BUT A TRUE INCIDENT THAT HAPPENED IN AMERICA?????!!!!!!!!

A Saudi man walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to Saudi on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Saudi man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the Saudi for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parks it there. Two weeks later, the Saudi returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, 'Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000'' The Saudi replies: 'Where else in New York City can I park my precious car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return!

Discrimination

In my country there is discrimination between different groups of people. The Bedouins in the country would never permit their sons or daughters to marry someone who is not a Bedouin. Furthermore, bedouins wont let an immigrant person marry their son or daughter. The Bedouins think that this kind of marriage would be a shame to the family and its traditions. They must only marry a Bedouin and usually someone who belongs to the family. A very smart and intelligent good man who wants to marry a Bedouin girl would not be accepted by the Bedouins because he is not one of them. That is the only reason they would not like him. This is just the way it was in the United States with the problem between the blacks and the whites. Mixing the two races there was seen as a big problem before, and I think it is still a big problem there. I don’t know why people think this way. We all have two arms and two legs. We are all human beings that can live along in this life with no such disceremination. No one is better than anyone else. In my opinion, i think people who still have that mentality must change it and always think optimasticaly with everyone.

Animal Intelligence

This research was more difficult than I thought. I thought I choose an easy topic but it was not. The part I liked the most was reading the examples of how animals show their intelligence. There are alot of examples of birds, insects and animals that show how really smart they are. The most challenging part of the research for me was the part that I did not understand. There are so many complicated ideas and terms in the research about animal intelligence. a lots of times I was so confused. I chose this topic because I want to know about animals and about the ways that they are think. I also saw a video on youtube about a buffalo and I wanted to know what that animal was thinking. I was sure that they were thinking. I have never written research paper in my own language so doing it in English was not different for me. It was just hard. There are so many crazy rules, especially the APA style! What is this crazy system? Now that I have finished the work I am happy. I am happy because it is over and I am happy because I did something that was hard. Next time I would choose an easier topic and organize my time better.
